Filmed on location in Montreal and New York, The Bone Collector is a suspense thriller that combines Rear Window and Seven. Two cops on the trail of a brutal serial killer must see as one, act as one, and think as one before the next victim falls. Lincoln Rhyme (Denzel Washington) is an intelligent forensics detective who was paralyzed in the line of duty. The author of several books, he has a keen eye for detail and nose for clues that have made him a legend in the law enforcement community. Amelia Donaghy (Angelina Jolie) is a street-smart policewoman in her twenties. On her last day as a street cop, before being transferred to a desk job, Amelia discovers a badly mutilated corpse. Rhyme is asked to investigate the case, but he declines. To him, it is an open-and-shut case not worth his time. But when he takes a close look at the evidence, he is intrigued, as the photos reveal complex messages in their details. The lunatic, who might be a taxi driver (a Scorsese allusion), amuses himself by paying homage to legendary murders in his own gruesome acts. Amelia is assigned to assist Rhyme, and she must be the eyes and ears of the quadriplegic detective. And they must capture the killer before he strikes again. Written by Jeremy Iacone and based on a book of the same title by Jeffrey Deaver, The Bone Collector was directed by the Australian thriller specialist Phillip Noyce, who directed such films as Clear and Present Danger and Dead Calm. ~ Gönül Dönmez-Colin, Rovi

I can’t say that I love the bone collector movie but I enjoy to watch it. I like the way they have the killer as an intelligent person. Someone who has a knowledge of what he is doing. And the way he leaves clues for the cops to follow. To come up with something this perfect, you must a genius. While not really scary, this suspense thriller is actually thrilling as opposed to the many number of “thrillers” that are not even thrilling.

Denzel Washington is one of my favorite actors. I met him while standing in line at Henry’s Taco in Studio City some years ago. It was like a dream come true, that I had a chance to meet him. I agree, the bone collector was a good movie.

Law abiding citizen is such a great movie! It was much better than I expected! There are so many twists and turns, and it’s a very smart movie! You definitely have a “wow, I can’t believe that happened” mentality after watching it! Great choice!

I really do like the Bone Collector it was a great movie. Any movie with Denzel Wasington in it is a great movie. I also think this was when Angelina Jolie was at her best. It did have a little of that Seven feel to it. I loved the movie Seven it was such an expected movie.

Rear Window is a great film, I love Alfred Hitchcock movies. Psycho is one of my favorites along with the Birds, I have been watching the new tv series Bates Motel it is really good. I am also a huge fan of Casablanca and the Indiana Jones triology and Die Hard.

I am a big fan of the Bone Collector seeing it is in one of my favorite genre of movies. I am big on movies in horror/psychological thriller/mystery category. I think it started when my dad let me watch my first Michael Myers movie when I was around 8 years old. I was completely intrigued. Next was Nightmare on Elm Street, The Exorcist, and so on.

I actually own the DVD of the Bone Collector and its one of my “go-to” movies when I feel like curling up in bed with a little thriller. I like how Angelina Jolie’s character was hesitant but intrigued all at the same time. I love Denzel Washington’s performan as he is a great actor. I still can’t get over him being cast as a bad guy in “Training Day”, it was just not how we like to see him. I think most of prefer the hero Denzel, like in “Man on Fire”. I think I know what flick I will be watching tonight.
